The gap we close
Students graduate without seeing how money moves.
Many students finish commerce, management, law or engineering without seeing how a transaction is authorised, settled, reconciled or refunded. We teach the operating detail behind banks, fintechs, marketplaces and digital businesses.
From transaction to settlement
The payment chain end to end, including failure modes, fraud signals, reconciliation and refunds, rather than definitions alone.

What we do
Four ways to learn.
Live online cohorts
Open to anyone and taught live by payments practitioners.
Online Academy
Self-paced courses for individuals building practical foundations.
University certificates
Co-branded programmes delivered within partner universities.
Team training
Scoped programmes for teams that work across the payment chain.
How we work
Embedded inside partner universities.
We do not run a parallel institute. The university keeps academic authority, approves assessment and owns the credit decision.
PPI brings industry trainers, live projects and certification tied to job roles, creating a programme academic teams can approve and placement teams can explain.
University
Keeps academic authority and the credit decision.
PPI
Brings industry trainers, live projects and certification.
Assessment
Approved by the academic council and verifiable by employers.

“We don't replace university faculty. We empower them.”
Ruchi Rathor, Founder & CEO
Why we started this
Industry experience belongs in the classroom.
Payments is a specialised field, but its operational detail is often missing from conventional degree programmes.
While building Payomatix's payments infrastructure, Ruchi saw how difficult it was to find candidates who understood payment rails, compliance, gateway operations and fintech ecosystems.
PPI grew from a simple conviction: a payments-ready workforce is built through structured collaboration with universities, embedding industry expertise into academic programmes.
How we assess
Assessed, not decorated.
Weightings are set per programme through MCQs, assignments, a final paper and a capstone where applicable. Attendance is an eligibility gate, except on university certificates where it carries 20%. The overall pass mark is a 60% weighted average. Certificates carry a unique ID and QR code for public verification.
Verify a certificateProgramme design
Mapped to NEP 2020 and the NCrF.
Programmes are designed around the National Education Policy 2020 and National Credit Framework structure. Credit assignment and Academic Bank of Credits treatment remain the institution's decision.
PPI is not a degree-granting body and does not claim UGC approval, NAAC or NIRF outcomes. This is curriculum alignment, not regulator recognition.

What we are, and what we are not.
PPI is the industry-led skilling and certification division of a payment company. We do not grant degrees, claim UGC approval, or publish NAAC or NIRF outcomes. Recognition on this page belongs to Ruchi Rathor.
